Don’t know if I should place this record in the “funk” or “jazz” sections… Weird project ! Two US jazz monsters Herbie Hancock and Bernard Purdie join John Murtaugh, who plays synthesizers and moog and writes the music. Incredible distorted sound, crazy electronic experimentations, groovy breaks, subtle or agressive samples… This can’t be missed ! “Slinky” is just unbelievable… Killer electronics & beats ! Light ringwear, light marks.
