BB’s best period of course ! At that time she dated Serge Gainsbourg, Francis Lai wrote some tunes for her, and she had Michel Colombier, Christian Gaubert or Paul Piot as arrangers. She was around 30 and to me she was at her top. What about the music ? Classics from 1968 ! The fantastic psychedelic pop sitar “Contact” written by Gainsbourg, “Harley Davidson” another hit of theirs, and personnal favs, “Le diable est anglais” (with reverse tapes) and “Saint Tropez” (instrumental in the Lai / Gaubert style).
