Description

An overall solid French funk & boogie album from Jacques Denjean and members of the cult group CCPP, here Marc Chantereau, Slim Pezin and Christian Padovan. Single records by them are quite easy to find but this one comes up too rarely. At least three killer funk tracks here : “You’re All I Ever Dreamed of”, “Love to Dance This One With You” and “Crystal World”, (the last one was lifted by R.D. Burman’s for “Hum kisise kum naheen”). There is also a couple of pleasant groovy tunes called “You’ve Got the Love I Need so Bad” and “Heavy Eyes”, plus a cover of a Barry White’s classics, but the best has been quoted above… Ah, and there are dope breaks on “Pain Sweet Pain”, too, I forgot to mention. Their first LP, surely their best !
