Another underrated gem on Themes International, the mythic KPM sub label. And what do we find here ? Top funk on “Checkpoint” and “Keep On Truckin'”, cool pop jazz with female la la la vocals on “Walkabout” and “Storyboard”, plus the wonderful bossa jazz with female scat “The Communicators”. And terrific breaks, as usual on this kind of library LP (some sounding more or less like “Hanged Man”). Be you fond of easy tempo or dramatic action, this album will have a real appeal on you.
