Managed to find it again ! Rare, sublime 7″ by Nubian female singer Magda Ali. Composition by Ibrahim Ragab. This music from Southern Egypt is a junction of African sounds (Sudan) and Arabic (Egypt). Some will hear an early Ethiopian jazz feeling, or even further, a vibe from the Far East. Really beautiful.
