Description

Fantastic LP by French singer Eddy Mitchell, known for his love for 60’s American music. He is here accompanied with the Soul Brass, his terrific backing band. The gatefold LP shows a funny cartoon with a story on the musicians in the Far West (by Jean Giraud, aka Moebius). The best tunes here are “Sunny”, “Ordonne mais pardonne (Hold On I’m Coming)”, “Quitte à tout perdre (Get It Together)”, “Le fou sur la colline (Fool On a Hill)” and the excellent “Tighten Up”, a devastating soulful version of Archie Bell’s classic, with mad work from engineer Bernard Estardy. Really rare, even in France, and very interesting French soul & groovy pop.
