Description
Well, this is not the common Japanese folk album… Let me describe it the best I can : it sounds like a marvellous mixture of the work of Dorothy Ashby / Stefano Torossi / Minoru Muraoka or Kiyoshi Yamaya, in a “Jungle Obsession” / “Stringtronics” way, if you see what I mean… Sounds sexy, no ? Muraoka is playing the bamboo flute here, by the way, backed by Takeshi Inomata on drums. Heavy groove with traditional instruments, including some killer breaks. Superb condition, super elusive.
