Wow ! Superb album souvenir from Egypt featuring the great Salah Ragab, also known as the “Egyptian Sun Ra”. You will hear the finest oriental jazz from the mid 70’s on “Amber of the Nile” (also known as “Egypt Strut”) . There’s also the exotic, Egyptian delight “Take Me Back to Cairo”, a favorite of mine and an exquisite vocal track, performed by Karim Shukry, and “Sahara City” by Mohamed Abdelwahab, the instrumental version of Oum Koulsoum’s classic.
