Rare French soundtrack released on Saravah, one of the most interesting labels in France during the 70’s. This issue is a double LP which is not filled with just music but mostly with spoken words, relating the Algerian war experience. This is a real historic document and, as you would expect from Saravah, the point of view is more open minded than most of the French during that period. Only François de Roubaix (“Les lèvres rouges”, “Jeff”, “Les anges”, “L’homme orchestre”…) was capable of composing for such a project. Very beautiful theme music indeed.
