With his Babia’s “Oriente / occidente” this album by Luis Paniagua is one of the best I’ve found here, in Spain. Paniagua plays many instruments here, from psychedelic sitar (think Ananda Shankar), to minimalist afro (think Francis Bebey). Listen to “La verdad de lo pequeño”, “Gacelle”, “Aqui y ahora”, “Lo ves, ya te lo decia” and the two Indian influenced “Neptuno” and “Preparativos para el viaje”. Indeed, prepare yourself for the trip ! Killer, very rare, last time I had a copy it went too quick !
