Did not know there was a Yugoslavian pressing of this marvelous album by Okay Temiz and his crew until I found a copy in a small street of Budapest. Not sure it was a real license but… who cares now ? And considering the large production of music in the former Yugoslavia it made sense to release this record… It’s the usual Okay Temiz’ sound, Turkish jazz funk with some eerie parts, killer bass and percussions, but this time they have added an Indian quatuor including a female singer. Listen to “Fidayda” (an “Indian” version of his classic tune), “High Fly”, “Aurun”, “Bitlis”… Simply amazing !
