Description

Coming from behind the iron curtain -the former GDR- this one is one of the 10 best German soundtracks ever released. The music was composed for a detective TV series, and the sound is terrific : almost every track is good ! “Tentakel” is a psych groove with female chorus, horns and wah wah guitar, “Savanne” is downtempo with an afro feel, “Aktion” sounds pop groove and has breaks, “Nebel” has the blaxploitation / suspence sound (cold flute and fem vox), “King Kong” is disco pop with strings and female vocals (perfect deep house LOOPs), “Feuer 21” is freaky with wild organ and fuzz guitar, “Vision” has the detective chase sound, “Feuer und Flamme” is a nice pop ballad with female la la la, “Exotica” is soft jazz with latin feel, “Kalahari” (performed by Mombasa, yes yes) is an excellent afro groove with female chorus. A great LP that will please producers and jazz funk collectors !
